However, in psychiatric care, suitable medical aid is rarely provided to patients who attempted suicide. Suicide prevention represents one of important issues in psychiatric care., Methods: We surveyed an electronic database in Japanese, limiting the search to articles published between 2006 and 2010., Results and Conclusion: One hundred and twelve original articles published in a 5-year period between 2006 and 2010 were selected using key words "schizophrenia" and "suicide". The present study suggested that nurses should fully understand the patient condition and provide care by considering a relationship with the patient.},
